REMOTE POSITION OPTIONAL


The Sr. Commercial Operations Analyst – Performance and Compensation role for the Americas is responsible for sales reporting, sales analysis and sales compensation management for Leica Biosystems.

This role is based in our Buffalo Grove, IL office OR can be based REMOTELY.   In this role, the Analyst will work independently with direction from the Commercial Operations Manager and Business Leadership.  This individual is expected to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.  The ideal candidate will be able to successfully balance internal and external business operation demands and have a strong foundation of sales operations, process improvement and ERP system knowledge.

Expert level understanding of SAP is required. Foundational understanding of product master data, pricing and order management is strongly preferred.

Major Responsibilities

  • Compensation Administration & Analysis
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of sales incentive payments to the sales organization.
  • Calculate compensation payments
  • Circulate for approval/signoff
  • Submit to payroll
  • Create and Distribute pay statements
  • Maintain/Improve the systems, processes and data that drive the sales incentive plans for a large, multi-role sales organization (including maintaining sales territories, account adjustments, product inclusions, etc.)
  • Participate in plan design and drafting.
  • Model proposed plans against anticipated business conditions.
  • Sales Reporting & Analysis
  • Data compilation, analytics and updating of key strategic divisional and senior staff initiatives (KPI, PD, etc.).
  • Roll-up of divisional direct & dealer forecasting.
  • Generate detailed monthly orders, sales and unit reports for sales reps and managers.
  • Move towards automating all existing, as well as new, reports.
  • Ad Hoc projects and reporting.
  • Synergize reporting efforts and strategies between Sales and Marketing (key units, multi-divisional support processes, leads, pipelines).

Qualifications

  • BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • MS Excel and MS Access skill level tests may be required for this position

Experience/Skills:

  • 4 – 6 years relevant work experience (Compensation, Analytics, Finance or HR role)
  • 3 – 5 years with SAP Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in CRM Administration preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. high comfort level with consolidating and joining data, creating formulas, macro development)
  • Proven capability with MS Access (including the ability to maintain and update database tables, queries, macros & overall structure.)

Desired Education, Experience, Skills

  • BS Degree with concentration in Finance or Computer Science Strongly Preferred
  • Strong Visual Basic and/or SQL coding a plus
  • Knowledge of the medical device / supply industry a plus
  • Travel: 5%
