Description

The Senior Accounting Manager – Global Reporting & Compliance will be a world-class finance professional who will support leading the organization through continuous transformational change. This individual will be responsible for supporting the global accounting and reporting function with particular emphasis on the associated financial compliance activities for the Beckman Coulter operating company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Danaher Corporation. He/she will be a member of the Beckman Coulter finance leadership team and will further strengthen the existing management infrastructure.
  • Leads all financial compliance activities for a complex, global (>$4B) business in consultation with the Global Controller and supports the global accounting and reporting functions.
  • Evaluates alternatives, determines, and implements appropriate global financial compliance strategy and policy in the context of a publicly listed SEC registrant.
  • Researches and provides consultation on reporting, accounting and compliance matters in highly complex, global environments
  • Primary responsibility for global Sarbanes Oxley compliance in accordance with parent company requirements.
  • Coordinates and monitors results of financial compliance programs.
  • Develops, recommends and implements programs to enhance the global financial controls environment.
  • Assesses and manages high risk, complex environments to support change and process improvement across the organization.
  • Provide reporting, accounting and compliance support and expertise to high impact global projects spanning multiple business functions and areas (e.g., operations, commercial, shared services)
  • Leads, motivates and develops talent within the organization including, but not limited to, immediate direct reports by coaching, counselling, and evaluating associate performance.
  • Interfaces with external and internal auditors to ensure support is provided to facilitate completion of audit procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identifies, recommends and actively participates in business process improvement opportunities.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
  • Supports Senior Leadership with ad hoc financial reporting requests and compliance matters.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience, experience includes 4+ years managing people
  • Certifications: CPA required
  • Knowledge of financial accounting for complex multinational organization; strong business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence; strong team leadership skills and ability to develop and evaluate team

Preferred:

  • Minimum of 5 years “Big firm” public accounting experience preferred
