The Scientist I Reagent Manufacturing performs formulations, purifications and conjugations of antibodies using a wide variety of complex standard operating procedures (chromatography methods) in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

This position is located in Hialeah.

Responsibilities include:
  • Perform pertinent tests to determine chemical and/or physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing spectrophotometry, electrophoresis, Flow Cytometers, and other laboratory techniques
  • Performs simple calculations according to procedures, and maintains accurate records of work performed according to GLP, GMP, and QSRs
  • Manufactures buffers and diluents according to standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Participates on a Continuous Process Improvement Team, and is a contributor to team efforts within the department
  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
  • Train and advise production personnel in manufacturing procedures for product formulations and testing
  • Write necessary reports, initiate manufacturing document change orders, and prepare standard operating procedures for processes, facilities, products, and tests as required
  • Participate in troubleshooting of various methods of production processes and recommend solutions or process improvements
  • Participate in pilot and first production batches of new products and review detailed descriptions of batching procedures to ensure batch reproducibility/manufacturability
  • Interact with departments and colleagues within and outside of Production, including, but not limited to, QC, QA, Development, Marketing, Engineering, etc.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field required
  • Previous laboratory work experience preferred, especially in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to follow approved work instructions with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and rapidly adapt to change
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Possesses excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Office products
