Pall Corporation, located in Westborough, MA is seeking a talented Scientist I, Analytical Chemistry to join our Cost of Sales organization. Our organization provides time-sensitive and critical chemical testing services for our life-science customers.  The Scientist I will use ICPMS, GC/MS, HPLC and LC/MS to test for: viability, bacterial challenges, compatibility, adsorption, extractables and leachables. We protect what matters!
The Scientist I, Analytical Chemistry will be responsible for:
-Reviewing test requests, ensure relevant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available and fully understand testing requirements in accordance with laboratory SOPs.
-Maintain  timelines and discuss schedule conflicts or modifications with laboratory management (and project manager, where necessary).
-Document appropriately using datasheets or laboratory notebooks.
-Performing method troubleshooting, laboratory investigations and data interpretation.
-Communicating directly with customers on test requests.
-Writing and presentation of final test results to manager and customers.
-Identifying issues within a project and propose solutions based on current practices or ability to propose new ideas.
-Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to excel in a team environment.
You are:
-Experienced with modern data acquisition and analysis software and chromatographic and mass spectrometry principles
-An independent thinker who can provide scientific analysis of data 
-Compliant with the company’s health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
-Open to travel to other Pall US or non-US sites and/ or to customer sites

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Chemistry or other life science discipline with 2+ years of experience in Analytical Chemistry or Masters degree with 0+ years of experience will be considered.
Experience with analytical instrumentation:  ICPMS, HPLC, GCMS, LCMS
MS Word/Excel, Powerpoint experience
Prior experience with report writing and laboratory record-keeping
Familiar with Waters, Agilent instrument software.
Familiar with Masshunter, Masslynx, unify
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in method development and validation
Direct experience with Agilent and Waters software is highly desirable
GLP/GMP experience
