This is a key South UK Sales role reporting to the Core Facilities Sales Director, within our Nanotechnology division.  This new post will concentrate on the primary objectives of; sales growth, maintenance of margin and improving market share.  The successful candidate will have the responsibility for proactively seeking out opportunities to build new business relationships, specifically in the area of specimen preparation for Electron Microscopy for both Life and Material science market segments.  This will be achieved through brand promotion and active selling strategies with the implementation of key skills gained from DBS training. Essential to this position will be an enthusiasm to drive the business in a competitive market, combined with detailed and accurate pipeline activity managed through SFDC/CRM.  In addition, the demonstration of good technical skills gained in a life or material science environment or similar scientific sales role would be a distinct advantage.  The role will require extensive travel across the assigned region.

Job Requirements


Education and Experience:

Whilst a Degree in the Life, Physics or Material Sciences is nice to have, of equal value is strong Sales experience in a relevant industry.

Proven Sales record in a similar environment.

Ability to drive business success through demonstrating consistent and impressive sales growth over a period of time.

Technical ability to demonstrate EM preparation instruments

Strong communication skills and a sound business acumen.

Effective time management and personal organisation.

Fluent written and verbal English language skills and preferably another European language.
