Description

Position Summary:


Responsible for growing sales of Pall laboratory consumables, systems and services in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. Working directly with VWR team and customers in all markets and in close collaboration with existing sales and marketing teams within Pall.


Main Duties:

  • Preparing area projections in line with the  requirements of the Pall EU Laboratory business plan
  • Developing and implementing a sales plan for account area to achieve these projections
  • Establishing good relationships with VWR and all of the area's key customers and key opinion leaders at all levels
  • Joint visits to customers with VWR/Sub Dealer staff will play a major part in building relationships within your territory
  • To work closely with VWR sales groups on an agreed programme of accompanied customer calls to meet strategic and tactical objectives
  • Provide field based sales support to VWR in accordance with EU strategy & Nordics Sales/Tactical Plan for Pall Lab Products
  • Attend as required joint VWR/Pall exhibitions/mini exhibitions
  • Agree Pall support programme and VWR action plan for designated Key Accounts with relevant VWR Key Account Managers
  • Sales projection and forecasts for defined territory and/or market. Expenses budget.
  • Ensure that key VWR sales people in territory have appropriate product knowledge and training to present and sell Pall products. Perform local training on an ongoing basis as required.
  • Set up, as required Pall Lab product training programmes on a regional basis in agreement with VWR local. Regional and national training events and schedules
  • Attend and update Pall/VWR Sales/Tactical Plans at VWR Regional meetings as required
  • Monitoring and reporting progress to management towards achieving projection.
  • Reporting and following up as necessary inside Pall Laboratory/Biopharm/Life Sciences to support a rapid and effective response to customer concerns
  • Providing general customer feedback and competitive intelligence to assist tactical and strategic marketing initiatives
  • Ensuring good communication of customer activity for lab products
  • To respond quickly and efficiently to customers' enquiries
  • To communicate regularly all pertinent information to the Life Sciences Commercial Director and EU Lab Sales Manager
  • To promote as required, Pall Life Sciences new products in territory in accordance with Sales & Marketing strategy
  • In cooperation with VWR, to identify, influence and build relationships with key customers in territory
  • To use these relationships for improving our position within by both raising awareness of Pall Lab Products and creating sales, along with generating the required Pall brand image across the target market.
  • To provide technical support and market knowledge to all Pall colleagues

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Knowledge & Key Skills:

  • Ability to identify, progress and close sales opportunities
  • Ability to communicate technically with customers across the Lab markets such as Life Sciences, Micro Quality Control, Analytical Sample Prep and Environmental
  • Ability to build good relationships
  • Ability to analyse and present commercial and technical information concisely
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills (oral and verbal)
  • Hands-on approach to customer demonstrations and trials
  • Product and market knowledge

Essential Qualifications/Education:
  • Laboratory background preferably: Master's or PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or equivalent

Essential Previous Experience:
  • Customer facing role, preferably 2 years of sales experience
Miscellaneous:
  • Hold current driving license
  • Have a valid passport
  • Willingness to travel extensively
