Job Summary

Responsible for the follow-up and control of the business development activities and commercialization of products and services in the pharmaceutical field in the territory of responsibility. Keeps control and monitor the performance of the business plan. Focus sales effort in meeting pre-established sales forecast for the territory. Analyses customer process specification and requirements to further identify, evaluate, and implement the use Pall products. Elaborates quotation proposals and perform technical assessments to position products. Perform sales calls to customers on frequently basis, and submits information on products and services to customers. Analyze the standards of services provided to customers by the Company and provide feedback to Operation Management with preventive and corrective actions of service render.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify existing and future markets (understand industry trends, identify major customers and determine their filtration needs/requirements), while strategically positioning the applicable Pall technology(ies) into these desired markets/customers in the assigned territory.

• Provides technical direction for the development of system solutions primarily for the biopharmaceutical customers. Works with others Sales teams, TSG and Marketing professionals to establish/define customer requirement. Evaluates alternative design approaches, considering available technologies and structure a competitive position.

• Works closely with PASS Application, Process Engineers and customers to integrate Pall Systems into customer’s process. Performs appropriate studies and assist in the calculations to ensure proper sizing and design.

• Assist in the development of customer test plans (testing protocols) with the support of the TSG group. Provides support to the TSG for in-house and field testing.

• Facilitates technical discussion and assists transfer of captured system orders to project management/design engineering.

• Report periodically and disciplined all sales opportunities and development into the CRM system, prepares reports utilizing the Sales Funnel process and other tools required by company.

• Assist Applications and Process Engineers in providing technical advisory service in support of system installation and commissioning to customers. Participates in training of customers operating personnel.

• Stays abreast of technology in key applications areas.

• Understand our current base business and defend against competitors.

• Target accounts/market segments where the growth will come from.

• Develop product positions to meet the growth and profit objectives for the assigned market.

• Must understand how products are sold in the market, including performance characteristics, product positioning and know-how of competitor product performance.

• Must understand the major competitors in his/her assigned market (i.e. SWOT).

• Be intimately involved in price negotiations.

• Performs other related activities as required (e.g. running on site tests at customers when needed to secure/gain business)

• Understands and complies with all company quality, safety policies and procedures as related to this position, including reading all relevant safety literature, using the required protective equipment and practicing good housekeeping.

Job Requirements



• BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Pharmacist or related field, with three (3) to five (5) years of related professional experience, within technical sales and industrial functions. Background in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Must have experience in dealing with customers on sales negotiations and technical issues. Also must be capable to understand and know, highly state-of-the art process technologies used by customers in the areas of process chromatography, Single Use Systems and Tangential Flow filtration.

• Fluent in English (writing & conversation).

• Availability for travels (critical) within region of coverage as well as to regional and corporate offices as required.
