The primary purpose of this position is to specify and sell the full range of Videojet coding and marking and coding equipment. The post holder is required to provide these solutions to all vertical markets excluding OEMs and some Pharma Accounts.  

In addition to the technical hardware selling, there is a strong requirement to sell the value of the equipment together with a variety of finance and service solutions to Videojet customers driving profitable growth. Key driver is the profitable growth by:

  • Sustaining customer retention by replacing VJ legacy equipment

  • Expanding market share into active accounts 

  • Expanding market share by entering into competitive accounts.

Key Responsibilities and Capabilities: 

  • Secure and grow revenue within a select region, expanding VJ market share into active as well as into prospects 

  • Cold canvas territory, investigate, generate & follow up on sales leads – key metrics: customer visits per target, visits per week

  • Follow-up on marketing generated leads qualifying them and visiting the customers promptly 

  • Sell Videojet equipment (CIJ, Laser, TIJ, LPA, LCM,) with linked service and supplies contracts – key metric: monthly order intake to target, Technology to target etc.

  • Build partnership with customers at all levels identifying and involving influencers as well as decision makers (in particular senior level within complex accounts to ensure we maximize our potential)

  • Be able to combine robust long term planning (large projects) with measurable short term gains (KPIs and smaller projects)

  • Prepare progress, funnel and forecast reports on a weekly and monthly basis for the Sales Manager

  • KPI driven with required data on time and complete in our CRM - S.F.D.C. 

  • Perform as part of a team or a strong individual as and when required

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Results driven and possesses a strong sense of personal accountability

  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time – Time and travel management

  • Ability to think and plan strategically

  • Technical ability to survey and specify equipment/accessories/software solutions at prospective customer sites

  • Sales ability to discover most critical pains customers are facing and needs to build tailor made solution using SPIN and Value selling techniques 

Job Requirements


Experience Required:

  • Must have a proven track record of sales into production, manufacturing or other technical B2B environments

  • Relevant technical experience in an Engineering, Production or Manufacturing field

  • Demonstrated success in a process driven, performance measured sales role

  • English language skills, highly preferable
