Position Summary:

The primary responsibilities of this position are presales sales support for high-end Leica Nano Technology products for life science research and Industrial market, achieving targets for order and sales, customers demo requirement and post sales application support for systems supplied by LMS across India, excellent demonstration and presentation skill. Examples of these systems / products includes are Leica Nano technology products like UM, CPD, CLEM, Cryo workflow etc.

The post is important for driving LNT products sales for LS / ID division in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PhD or MSc / MTech or similar education in Cell Biology /Biophysics / Physics/ Chemistry /biomedical or related discipline.
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience with electron microscopy sample preparation, electron microscopy imaging.
  • Nurturing customers through direct visits, arranging technical discussions, presentations, webex, seminars, regional marketing campaign etc
  • Growing business for the company by promoting product range and working on Sales strategies
  • Achieving given Sales targets for LNT (LSR and ID Div)
  • Product positioning and NPI
  • Provide Application support to customers and act as problem solver for customer.
  • Arrange scientific workshops and explain latest techniques in EM sample preparation.
  • Review LNT funnel in SFDC on a weekly basis and plan activities proactively to support sales team.
  • Build long term relationships with the end users by periodic meeting with customer.
  • Determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
  • Prepare application notes, technical specs, configuration and quotes.
  • Attend internal or external meetings related to Nano product portfolio.
  • Works closely with both Service and Application Team
  • rovide scientific support to existing & prospective customers and help them on protocols to support in their scientific goals.
  • Be experienced and comfortable in giving presales product presentations.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Objection handling, high level application discussions.
  • Supply information on customer feedback, demo feedback, trends and developments.
  • Participate in congresses and meetings as necessary in order to demonstrate applications on our existing and new products to customers.
  • Provide support in terms of planning, arrangement of demo systems, lectures and trainings during yearly workshops, seminars etc.

Job Requirements


Position Qualification:
Whilst a PhD / Master Degree in a Physics / Chemistry/ Biology, or equivalent (BTech / MTech Biotechnology), is nice to have, of equal value is a strong application support experience in a relevant industry or institutes.
Strong communications – Good technical knowledge
Proven record of successful technical product manager or application specialist for similar products.
At least 6 to 8 year exposure to high-end systems like Electron Microscopy or similar feild, for electron microscopy sample preparation.
Hands on experience in Electron microscopy or EM sample preparation either in Lab / Industry
Good scientific product management / application knowledge
Good system Demonstrator
