Provide product and applications technical phone support (end-users, field personnel, dealers for histology, and immunohistochemistry) by answering questions, troubleshooting problems, delegating to field service engineering and escalating major issues to appropriate company personnel. In addition, this role will design and provide technical training on specified products in Leica’s newly constructed, state-of-the-art, Customer Support Laboratory to ensure maximum customer learning and satisfaction. 

Major Responsibilities 
  • Quickly respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding Leica product.
  • Conducts research to obtain supporting information and proposes alternative solutions to customers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the investigation of difficult customer technical applications. 
  • Ensure a detailed assessment of the customer situation, gathering all information and employing critical thinking to drive to route cause.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and conduct all duties with the highest level of professionalism.
  • Training
  • Develop training materials and conduct classes and labs for customers, employees, and others as needed.
  • Conduct applications project in Customer Support Laboratory, responsible for addressing application, instrument and training issues.
  • Communication and others
  • Participate in group meetings, advisory groups, etc., as needed.
  • Keep improving work processes and techniques to increase department productivity.
  • Provide leads for all product opportunities to sales representatives.
  • Promote Leica as the Histopathology market leader in quality and innovation. 

Job Requirements


Required Education, Experience, Skills
Associates degree (A.A.) preferred in medical technology or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience in histology.
HT or HTL (ASCP) certification required. QIHC (ASCP) certification highly desired.

Three or more years of histology experience.
Research background preferred, not required.
Must possess computer proficiency. Fluency with a variety of Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook.
