Description

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Sourcing manager will work as the local owner for sourcing for the assigned commodity(s) and business segments centered in Southeast Asia. These responsibilities include the development, communication and execution of strategies to ensure realization of the business objectives for assigned commodity within the purchase family.

Essential Responsibilities:
 Leading the development & execution of the local sourcing strategies that delivers a competitive advantage driving the strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
 Performing detailed cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution.
 Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and developing improvement strategies to ensure business needs are met.
 Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
 Driving improvements in sourcing processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements
 Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred
 Must have a thorough understanding of cultures (experience in Southeast Asia environments) and ability to manage differences.
 Knowledge of Import Purchases and Requirements.
 Bachelor degree in engineering with least 5 years’ working experience (Master with least 4 years' working experience), above 2 years purchasing or sourcing experience in multi-national company is preferred.
 Strong communication skill with cross function team
 Must have solid business sense and experience dealing directly with suppliers and/or customers
 Must be able to work in environments requiring strong influencing skills, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality between multiple organizations
