Job Description: Regional Sales Manager

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a sales team whose responsibilities are to manage a direct sales team of 8-10 individuals.  The successful candidate will drive equipment revenue growth in an existing customer base as well as driving growth in prospect accounts within the region they manage

Key responsibilities include:
• Leading a direct end user sales team to revenue growth on a yearly basis by directing the sales team to utilize the IMPACT Sales Process to manage the sales team to exceed targeted sales revenue objectives.
• Effective in properly forecasting sales productivity by SE; by product; and regionally by working with SE’s and our customers on a constant basis to refine the sales forecasting process.
• Evaluates and implements new sales techniques to increase a region’s sales volume.
• Develops and shares customer and market trends and competitive intelligence with counterparts (marketing, research, technical service, customer service, supply chain, etc.) to promote increased market knowledge to corporate Videojet. 
• Develops appropriate sales volume, pricing and standard margin forecasts and able to work with his/her sales team to maximize pricing levels to our customers.
• Evaluates sales productivity utilizing KPI’s; trend analysis; and YOY compares to continuously understand areas of growth for his team by sales territory; by product; and regionally.
• Responsibility for conducting revenue generating activities in the specified sales territory. Doing this in a sustainable, resource efficient way to promote future business opportunities.  Prioritizing opportunities for equipment sales growth and the specific actions required to capture them.
• Improving sales efficiency and effectiveness through the rigorous use of sales tools such as "sales funnels" and "ROI based selling".

Job Requirements


• Bachelor's Degree Required, preferably in a Technical or Business field
• Minimum of 10 years technical service or account management experience
• Direct sales experience in the ink jet product coding industry would be an asset
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Results driven and possesses a strong sense of personal accountability
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
• Ability to think and plan strategically
• Demonstrated success in each of the described competencies in a business-to-business capital goods selling environment
