 This role is a newly built position, responsible for all HemoCue business in Africa, Middle East and Latin America. The total revenue is $17m, with strong growth. Reporting into the position are four Regional Sales Managers as well as the General Manager for HemoCue’s sales subsidiary in South Africa, which has a revenue of >$5m and 28 associates. This position is located in Ängelholm and in addition to the sales responsibility; the role will assume other commercial responsibilities in the head office. The position reports into the Senior Director International Sales, Anders Wallseth.


 All three regions are expected to grow >10% per year for the next three years. This will be achieved through accelerated sales efforts by the direct sales force in ZA, supported by deployment of transformative and digital marketing, as well as through an increase in distribution partners in all geographies in countries segments that are currently underserved or where the performance of the current channel partner is not adequate.


 Responsibilities include, along with strong leadership, managing, coaching and developing associates as well as deciding on the right channel partners and go to market strategy. The main tools to deliver this growth are: 1) Building a strong team of managers and associates that are motivated and pull in the same direction. 2) Building channel muscle in the shape of the most powerful combination of direct and indirect efforts (and for indirect channels to select the right distributors for Blood Banks, Hospitals, Screening/Public Health and Primary Care). A deep interest in markets and competitor activities in the region is a must.


 This strategically minded leader ideally possesses a good understanding of the medical market in the region and has a consistent track record of balancing demands of multiple internal and external customers. The leader will utilize problem solving and identify enablers and blockers for success, and suggest effective actions and countermeasures.


 Your responsibilities and tasks will include:


  • Establish coherent and state-of-the art sales strategy and tactics for the region
  • Drive top-line through coordination, training and allocation of distributor and field-force
  • Optimize the sales group and field-force structure to support the regional needs and allocate resources to regional priorities
  • Optimize the sales channel setup to support the regional needs
  • Working collaboratively across functions to manage sales resource demands
  • Ensure the development of pre-launch sales plans for new products within the planning horizon
  • Monitor competitor activities and increasing market share through effective selling to the BB, Hospitals, PC and other segments
  • Able to travel on average 80 days per year in the region

Qualifications


You hold a MBA or Master’s degree in business, marketing, economics, finance or equivalent and min. 10 years of working experience. You have experience in developing sales strategies, leading a region with several different countries including experience of handling both direct sales force and channel routes to market. You are fluent in oral and written English.
