Job Description:


The Regional Business Manager will be a strategic leader responsible for driving growth across USP through cross functional collaboration. The successful candidate will be high-energy with a base of business knowledge, good communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to succeed in a high-reaching environment. This incumbent will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives to implement best in class customer service, account management, funnel management, KPI analytics, and other best practices.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


• Achieve/exceed annual profit plans while measuring the efficiency of sales programs and driving accountability to build the USP brand.

• Develop communication and territory management skills throughout the regional sales team.

• Own the identification, prioritization, strategic analysis, and sales plan development/execution within the region to drive continued growth and profitability.

• Develop and implement incentivizing compensation models for sales team members by understanding the landscape and area of opportunity.

• Identify, attract, and hire top talent in a manner that will enable USP to continue to gain market share.

• Develop and retain talent to assure the accomplishment of current and planned objectives; provide leadership to enhance succession management, sales performance, and business continuity.

• Present to the leadership team in operations review meetings to keep leadership informed on regional performance, challenges, and recommend actions for improvement.


Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree from accredited institution.
  • Travel expectations of 50% or more.
  • Experience leading large teams of commercial professionals within the Municipal and Industrial Water Treatment or adjacent industries
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Industry knowledge specific to wastewater treatment 
  • Ability to utilize Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Salesperson (VOS) to segment the organization’s needs and prioritize them.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative teams across regions, functions and businesses. 
  • High numerical reasoning and analytical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • May require long hours & varied work schedules.
  • Travel may be frequent dependent on size of assigned territory
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stand, climb (includes stairs and ladders), reach, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk, hear, and smell.
  • Constantly using hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and computer keyboards. 
  • Occasionally required to drive both short and long distances, not to exceed DOT regulations.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Infrequently may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds.
  • The Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

WORKING CONDITIONS & ENVIRONMENT 
  • Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for deliveries which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
  • Occasionally in extreme heat conditions.
  • Required to use ear plugs for hearing protection. 
  • Both Indoor and outdoor sites may have high noise levels.
  • Outdoor site can be located at a cooling tower, water plant, wastewater plant, or a process area.
  • Use of hazardous chemicals is routine.
  • Trust and respect for customers and USP associates.
