Collaboration in R&D, Production and Assembly 

You join an R&D team responsible for maintaining Radiometer’s established Blood Gas Analyzer, ABL800 Flex. We have many installed devices around the world and continue to deliver new devices to our many satisfied customers. You become the team’s go-to person and expert within mechanical engineering and drive contininous improvements on the product platform.  You will be working with components that interfaces to both hardware, software, chemistry and work with a wide range of Plastic- and Metal Manufacturing Processes.

Most importantly, you get to collaborate with skilled engineers and engage with colleagues from the production, assembly, hardware- and software developers, external suppliers, and lab technicians that helps you setting up your test designs.

Put your Mechanical R&D skills to good use

With our large installed base of devices, we have a lot of data and feedback regarding the products performance. This enables you to work on continuously improving the different mechanical parts of the device. Expect to work on the following tasks:

• Root cause investigation on module and/or system level

• Coordinate tests and collect relevant data by developing test methods and defining test setup

• Maintain and further develop technical documentation in CAD (CREO)

• Material Selection

• Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing

• Tolerance stack-up calculations

You will enjoy this role if you like to shift focus during the day. For instance, you might spend a couple of hours at your desk designing a test that can mitigate potential risks in product improvements. Later, you might be involved in a discussion regarding the choice of just the right sheet metal component and find the right vendor for the job. Before ending your day, you might catch up with your lab tech colleague over a cup of coffee to hear how the latest lab test setup that you designed is running.

Job Requirements


You have a master degree within mechanical engineering or similar and at least 5 years of relevant experience working with mechanical product development or Life Cycle Management activities

• Well-founded understanding of mechanics, materials and production methods

• Systematic and analytical approach to product development

• Experience with CAD (preferably CREO)

• A people person, who collaborate cross-functionally Works successfully with multiple projects simultaneously
