Beckman Coulter Quality & Regulatory Management, Europe Job Description: Manager - Commercial Q&RA, Western Region (France) Summary of Role Reporting to the Senior Manager - Commercial Q&RA for Europe, the Manager – Commercial Q&RA Western Region will lead all Q&RA and Environmental activities needed to support Western region commercial operations. The role has direct management responsibility for a small Q&RA Analyst team. Specific Responsibilities • Maintain, implement and continually improve the processes and infrastructure of the Western region QMS with the purpose of providing both best in class compliance and business support for the Western region Commercial organisation • Actively recruit, develop and retain talent within the Western region Commercial Q&RA organization • Continually develop, monitor and report on the metrics needed to gauge the performance of the Quality System • Establish and drive successful fulfilment of Western region Commercial Q&RA objectives; monitor and report on progress to these objectives • Support the establishment and fulfilment of Western region Commercial Operations objectives • Provide input to the EU Commercial Q&RA budget • Liaise with regional and global Q&RA organisation to support the development of and ensure alignment with BEC global policies and procedures • Establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with external parties as necessary for the effective fulfilment of other role responsibilities. This includes but should not be limited to SIDIV and ANSM • Provide guidance to the Western region commercial organization Environmental regulations and oversee all Environmental activities, managing the local EMS • Support the application of DBS tools throughout EU and drive DBS activity within the Western region Commercial Q&RA function • Otherwise support the Western region business and the EU commercial Q&RA department, as required (please see over..)   Person Spec – Minimum Requirements • University Degree in Science or equivalent • Lead Auditor trained (ISO 9001) • Experience of managing a certificated ISO 9001 Quality Management System • Fluent in English – written and verbal • Skilled at managing ambiguity, influencing without authority and driving for results • Experience of working within a global, multi-cultural, matrix organisation • Solid working knowledge of IVDD/R, Environmental, Health & Safety, and related regulations • Deep and current knowledge of Quality Management principles in a European Commercial environment • Proven success of building and leading a team, managing and developing talent

� Degree holder in science, engineering, quality or relevant discipline with 5 years working experiences in quality related areas. � Maintains general understanding of technical processes and applications throughout work group and uses this information to guide strategic directions and deployment of resources � Have practical experience in ISO 9001, and/or other regulatory system � Experience in quality auditing is preferred � Maintains general understanding of technical processes and applications throughout work group and uses this information to guide strategic directions and deployment of resources � Has management skills related to resource allocation of people, budgets and results � Manages complex multi-site verification and system integration activities for current and new products � Encourages system-level innovation. Interprets technology within the context of strategic plans, defines capabilities and constraints, and identifies how experimental data may apply to internal programs/projects � Enables individuals to obtain the information and support required to make decisions � Remains flexible and takes the risks necessary to achieve the business unit or company-wide objective � Focuses own energy toward achieving objective � Has broad conceptual framework and experience to achieve objectives � Understands goals, objectives and barriers to achievement for defined area of focus � Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual work unit planning � Plans, organizes and manages the achievement of functional unit goals � Conveys reviews and edits complex and technical ideas and information clearly and effectively in all communication � Works with local process improvement teams to define resources, measures and tactics that contribute to achievement of company objectives � Recognizes, respects and leverages the unique talents of all team members � Organizes, facilitates and trains teams across functions or business units to achieve results � Uses understanding of the factors/forces shaping customer needs to anticipate and respond to customer needs � Integrates customer needs and functional unit objectives to achieve business unit objectives � Good in English communication and report writing
