  • The Quality Control Technician inspects and reports on manufacturing quality. 
  • The incumbent will perform the inspection of incoming materials, mechanical, electrical components, and work-in-process materials using complex inspection gauging such as caliper, micrometer, and height gauge, and may use coordinate measuring machines and / or vision systems.
  •  Must have the ability to read / interpret engineering drawings.
  •  Must have an understanding of basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing systems. 
  • Requires performing first article inspections on a wide variety of parts and may involve castings, and molds. 
  • Initiates rejection reports for non-conforming materials and ensure proper completion of required documentation in accordance with departmental, GMP, and ISO requirements. 
  • Requires interface with Supplier Quality, Technical Operations, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, Development personnel and may include suppliers solving quality issues, troubleshooting parts, and recommending courses of action. 
  • Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Experience as a QC inspector is a plus. 
  • Must have good working knowledge of various inspection requirements and measurement techniques. 
  • Must be able to obtain measurements with inspection gauging tools such as caliper, height gauge and micrometer. 
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and be capable of producing detailed and comprehensive inspection documentation and reports. 
  • Must have proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel. ASQ Quality Certification and familiarity with operating Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Vision Inspection System is a plus.
