Description

Position Objective: 

 

The Qualification Engineer is responsible for performing technical engineering tasks that support product qualification.

Role and Duties:

  • Review and interpretation of product specifications
  • Preparation and delivery of qualification definition
  • Authoring of technical documentation, e.g. QTP / QSR / QTR
  • Supporting design engineering with the verification and validation matrix
  • Attendance at design reviews
  • Supporting the Project Management Office with programme scheduling
  • Project Management of all qualification aspects for aerospace products
  • Liaise with all functions to understand requirements and possible solutions
  • Adherence to test readiness at all stages of the NPI process
  • Development of qualification techniques
  • Determination and adherence of qualification task durations and cost
  • Reporting and investigation of the root cause of test failures
  • Manage qualification basis change in accordance with Configuration Control Requirements and Commercial implications
  • Ensure delivery of test data as required to Pall Factories and / or NPI projects
  • Engage design authorities when required for design approval
  • Liaise with customers in conjunction with the design authority, with regards to qualification activity
  • Support activities such as continuous improvement, 5S, performance growth and development goals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications/ Experience: 

 

Essential

  • Experience in an engineering position
  • The ability to write accurate and concise technical documents
  • An Engineering Degree or an alternate engineering qualification with suitable levels of experience

Preferred

  • Experience in a qualification role and/or design role
  • Knowledge of Verification and Validation techniques
  • The ability to plan, budget (low level) and organise tasks to agreed timescales / costs
  • Knowledge of aerospace systems
  • Fluid Dynamics knowledge for compressible and incompressible fluids
  • Hands on test laboratory experience
  • Good presentation skills
