Description

 

The QA Final Inspector is responsible for performing assessments, validation and measurement of loupes, in process and in final form. This critical position determines whether the medical device is compliant with quality and functional requirements and was successfully and accurately manufactured to the specific customer measurements. The QA Final Inspector oversees documentation of final product inspection and keeps Production and QA management informed of state of finished loupe quality at Orascoptic.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


• Perform quality checks on in-process and finished devices, as assigned, completing and documenting all SOP quality inspection requirements


o Perform reviews of completed work orders for accuracy and completeness


o Complete all visual and measurement tests associated with each product, per specifications


• Based on quality assessment and inspection, determine final acceptance of product, or return to production for re-work


• Document inspection outcomes in accordance with the SOP instructions, including date and signature


• Use Master Control to store completed work orders/device history records


• Provide Production and QA Management with all product final inspection outcomes. Develop and generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on outcomes, including trend analysis


• Maintain all related quality inspection records


• Internal auditor - perform periodic audits


• Other duties may be assigned by QA Supervisor


Job Requirements



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:


• Education: High School degree or equivalent


• Experience:  One to three years’ related experience and/or training


• Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to communicate effectively with groups of employees within the organization. Ability to perform these functions in English.


• Computer Skills: Good working knowledge of computer skills



Preferred Skills:


• Computer Skills: Basic Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.


• Technical Skills: Experience with basic inspection techniques and tools (use of calipers, lensometers, etc.)


• Abilities: Detail orientation, precise work, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively across teams
