Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Define and perform functional testing to ensure conformance of product prior to shipment and lead implementations of necessary controls within Manufacturing to improve overall Value Stream quality performance.  

ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Complete functional inspection of all assemblies which includes: wire power and control connections, configure customer specific settings, perform diagnostic routines and functional test sequences 
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and determine corrective actions
  • Define test protocols and methods within all areas of manufacturing and their associated hardware/software
  • Complete and maintain test records
  • Meet daily delivery targets
  • Document and communicate non-conformances both internally and externally 
  • Perform containment and receiving inspection  
  • Lead and/or support product and process improvement initiatives  
  • Perform other quality functions when requested by leader
MEASURES  OF PERFORMANCE
  • Quality Improvement Targets – reduction in non-conformances, assembly issues, call-tickets (customer complaints)

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Electrical/Electronic Technician or Technologist
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams
  • Experience operating/testing control panels (with PLC/embedded controls)
  • Experience with regulatory codes (UL508A, CSA, NEC and CE)
  • Knowledge of electrical testing equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
