Danaher`s Water Quality Business is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. The Project Qualification Specialist will be responsible for future growth of the Hach project business by contacting customers through database listings of potential projects. These projects are in the early stages and therefore cold calling is required in order to get to the appropriate contact and detailed information to escalate to the sales organization and build the project pipeline.


  • Uncover, connect and grow the Hach project business to understand opportunity for early stage engagement of projects for the sales organization.

  • Engage clients and prospects via phone to qualify them as opportunities and assign them to the appropriate owner(s)

  • Execute a consultative sales strategy with our internal solution selling methodology

  • Follow standard work to contact and convert database contacts to opportunities per sales cadence

  • Demonstrate technical and application knowledge to provide prompt, accurate answers and successfully qualify the leads

  • Collaborate with the sales organization to strengthen the project opportunities in the sales funnel

  • Populate and maintain the highest standards of data integrity in

  • Identify and monitor customer trends in drinking water, wastewater, and industrial markets as it pertains to projects

  • Relay pertinent product information from customers so the company can continue to improve its products and services

  • Develop an understanding of competitive products

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, related field preferred

  • Knowledge of the operation of plants and or laboratories, water testing requirements and procedures, and water control regulations. Proven experience in lead qualification or inside selling

  • Skilled in application and market-specific questioning techniques that uncover new sales opportunities

  • 2+ years in sales and customer service experience

  • Cold calling experience

  • and Microsoft Office project knowledge preferred
