DESCRIPTION 
Position Summary This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to grow and expand their knowledge in a Project Management career.
As a project manager, this individual is responsible for delivery of new product development (NPD) and value engineering projects by leading a project team through efficient project definition, successful planning and execution to fulfill the overall project targets. The project manager will actively control status of all project targets and manages project risk during execution of all project stages. The project manager will report progress to senior management. This individual must be able to work in a matrix environment and understand what is required to successfully drive a project to completion.
Major Responsibilities: * Assure execution of Product Development and Value engineering projects of Consumable products for separations consumables, within timeline, budget and quality constraints while meeting scope, quality system requirements * Achieving milestones of stage gate/tollgate development process * Actively uses Danaher Growth Tools * Support development of department specific processes and tools * Maintain quality standards to company quality system and ISO * Define and accomplish project strategy and team structure * Manage the critical path of the project * Controls project costs and prepares accurate forecast on R&D cost and capital expenses * Supports development of department-specific processes and tool

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION 
Qualifications - External Required Education, Skills and Experience * Bachelor's degree in a life science or chemistry field with at least 5 years’ experience in product research, design, and development.; * OR, Graduate degree in a life science discipline with at least 2 years’ experience in product research, design, and development in a regulated medical device or pharma company. * Minimum of 3 years’ in-depth project management experience including, at least one product development to launch; * Successful project management track record within the life science sector; * Experienced in leading interdisciplinary project teams; * Stage gate design control experience in a highly regulated development and manufacturing environments; * Ability to manage resources, priorities, budgets and schedules for on time delivery of quality products; * Experience in risk management and reduction methodologies; * Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint; * Experience developing product requirement specifications in accordance with customer needs and product concepts; * Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required along with, the ability to report project status across all levels of management; * Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, managing complex projects and cross-functional teams while driving the process to deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment; and * Knowledge of Lean Principles and Practices.
Preferred Education, Skills and Experience * PMP preferred; and, * Solid understanding of life sciences and/or healthcare an asset.
Travel * Able to work and travel beyond normal business hours as required by projects; and, * 15-20% travel is required, some of which may be international.
