The Program Manager for Professional Services is an important leader within Hach and a key member of the Service Business Unit (BU). This position leads a team of highly talented project managers to drive the long-term commercial success for a portfolio of new and existing professional services portfolio.
In addition to leading highly talented associates, the successful Program Manager will develop and lead the implementation of innovative plans to achieve strategic goals, deliver growth targets, successfully develop & launch new products, and attain on-going market and profit expectations. This position is also expected to assume responsibility for cross-functional company and cross-BU initiatives and collaboration.

Provide leadership and drive cross-functional alignment to deliver company objectives, including but not limited to:
Innovation and Influence

  • Create the vision for professional services and build innovative programs that lead to product conception, definition, design, and launch of professional service offerings
  • Lead strategy development for professional services and strategy execution through Policy Deployment
  • Drive stakeholder communication from individual contributor level to L1 on project status, issues, risks, and opportunities
  • Enable successful organizational change and lead the teams from ideation to revenue
  • Champion all aspects of DBS (Leadership, Growth, Lean)
  • Drive innovation priorities according to the rationalized & prioritized product roadmap


  • Build and develop a highly-engaged, high-performing, growth-oriented team
  • Ensure the team is doing the rights things (focusing on the critical few) and doing things right (leveraging DBS and best demonstrated practices)
  • Motivate associates to perform at their highest levels
  • Possess a clear understanding of tactical versus strategic thinking as well as knowing when to lead by doing versus delegation

Product Management & Marketing

  • Develop, maintain, and execute detailed project schedules and budgets
  • Establish and deliver annual objectives for your team, including products, revenue, margin & pricing, and leverage cross-functional problem solving when performance is not meeting targets
  • Develop compelling product strategies and innovation roadmaps to ensure long-term commercial success of the category based on deep understanding of customers and competitors
  • Partner with marketing and sales to demonstrate new and higher standards for well-executed new product introductions and commercial tactics to drive growth for existing products
  • Grow awareness and create demand through effective digital marketing, advertising, and marketing communications  

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree required; PM, MS, MA, or MBA desired
  • 5+ years with relevant experience in strategy, product development, product design, portfolio management, product commercialization and sales
  • Must have high level of strategic agility, excellent decision making, problem solving skills, and demonstrated abilities to drive innovation
  • Product delivery and project management experience including milestone development, activity management, and team/stakeholder collaboration
  • Understands the complexity of business needs and decision drivers within an organization.
  • Must be able to consider available facts, constraints, competitive circumstances, probable consequences, and distill these into actionable recommendations
  • Examples of delivering results and driving strategic leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, attracting top talent, developing high performers, and holding people accountable for performance
  • Must have entrepreneurial spirit and continuous improvement mindset
