Purpose of Position: 

The primary role of this position is to provide technical support for the Operations group or is responsible for general Facility maintenance. The Technician identifies problems and implements corrective actions leading to continuous improvements.  Certain positions provide assistance in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facilities’ equipment, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and grounds.  Skill sets are dependent on the area being supported; e.g. Circuit Board Assembly support may require knowledge of electronics and test systems while other positions may require knowledge with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, grounds systems, etc.

Focus for this position is on technical abilities.

Essential Functions:  
  • Perform maintenance, installation, and improvement tasks (systems dependent on focus).
  • Provide training and documentation as needed for end users.
  • Perform or coordinate review and calibration of equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting of problems.
  • Provide or request purchased tools and equipment as authorized.
  • Coordinate the implementation of tools, jigs, and fixtures as needed.
  • Provide for support and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate and complete preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate on Kaizen Events.
  • Required to work off-shift or Saturday, as needed, to support production or to maximize up-time on machinery/processes.
Other Non Essential Functions:  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree in related field, or appropriate background with related work experience.
  • 1-3 years related experience in an appropriate manufacturing, engineering, or facility environment depending on area of focus.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot/problem solve in a structured, logical manner.
  • The ability to read and comprehend drawings and other technical information required to perform the assigned task work.
  • The ability to perform or coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
  • Combination of office skills and hands-on activities: required to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.

The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.

Employees will be required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields. Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.
