Position Located:  Hauppauge, New York

SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity) requirements in all work assignments.  A Production Operator III will adhere to all company policies and procedures. They are responsible for the assurance of quality product by following procedures, ISO and cGMP requirements. They will comply with daily production schedule assignments; follow Document Procedures and Work Instructions that apply to each assigned area; complete all documentation (e.g. Traceability’s) correctly and timely; work in a neat and well organized manner.  They will assist and comply with Daily Production required as outlined in responsibilities below:  Required to follow all practices and procedures regarding safety compliance including OSHA, cGMP, ISO 9001 & ISO 14000; Manufacture a quality product adhering to engineering specifications; Able to coordinate packaging activities to satisfy shipping commitments; Partner with Quality department to facilitate packaging process; Must be willing and able to clean floors, walls, windows, equipment as needed.  Also responsible for following direction of supervisor or lead person; Adhere to weekly schedule and meet weekly schedule goals; Become knowledgeable of all manufacturing processes and equipment; Work as a team member and assisting others as needed; Participate on team projects/Take on additional job responsibilities as needed; Knowledge and ability to move/transport and document universal hazardous and non-hazardous materials from production area and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


Education/Experience:  High School Diploma or Equivalent with two (2) to five (5) years manufacturing experience. Experience working in an ISO or cGMP environment preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Must have good reading and writing skills, good communication and interpersonal skills; basis math skills and must be process, detail, goal and quality oriented with basic computer skills (Lotus Notes and Excel).  Must also have data entry experience (SAP experience a plus).  Must have the ability to operate specific manufacturing equipment and material handling equipment (e.g. forklift). Other requirements include: Handling chemicals, substrate and media, have applicable safety trainings such as RCRA, DOT, etc., and be able to work in a controlled environment.  Kaizen, 5S and Daily Management experience preferred.  Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic PM’s is required. 

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  Must have the ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs, bend during shift and stand for long periods of time during shift. Must also be able to frequently gown in controlled areas (i.e., hair net, gown, booties, etc.).  Ability to wear a Respirator may be required.
