Position located:  Putnam, CT

A Production Operator I will ensure quality products by following procedures, ISO, and cGMP requirements. They will also follow the daily production schedule assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow Document Procedures and Work Instructions that apply to each assigned area
  • Complete all documentation (e.g. Traceability’s) accurately and timely
  • Work in a neat and well-organized manner
  • Assist and comply with Daily Production by following all practices and procedures regarding safety compliance including OSHA, cGMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 14000 requirements
  • Manufacture quality product adhering to engineering specifications
  • Clean floors, walls, windows, equipment as needed
  • Follow direction of supervisor or lead person
  • Adhere to weekly schedule and meet weekly schedule goals
  • Become knowledgeable of all manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Work as a team member assisting others as needed
  • Participate on team projects and take on additional job responsibilities as needed
  • Knowledge and ability to move/transport and document universal hazardous and non-hazardous materials from production area

Job Requirements


Minimum Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED with 6-12 months manufacturing or Quality experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Good reading, writing, and communication skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Detail and Quality focus
  • Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift)
  • Handle chemicals, substrate, and media
  • Safety trainings such as RCRA, DOT, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend and stand during shift
  • Gowning, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Respirator may be required
