Description

Summary:

Operation of Rinse/Dry machinery and other associated machinery in the Manufacturing area.

Duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates Rinse Line #1 or #2 or Pilot Line Rinse/Dry

  • Must be able to work with the Lot numbering system

  • Performs membrane sampling

  • Understands rework

  • Changes out Rinse Tank filterite

  • Utilization of statistics using a computer

  • Must be able to evaluate tensile strength

  • Performs various tests, such as membrane and water flow test, air flow test, BP Hydrophilic testing, BP Hydrophobic testing, Wettability test

  • Must be able to perform thickness measurement

  • Must be able to do Rinse/Dry Line visual inspection

  • Sets up casting machine

  • Prepares surfactant

  • Replaces IPA drum

  • Understanding of hazardous waste handling and documentation

  • Troubleshoots Rinse Lines #1, #2 or Pilot Line

  • Must be able to Maneuvers a 55-gallon drum on a dolly

  • Able to perform these functions with general to minimal supervision

A limited degree of independent judgement is required

Qualifications

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3-months work experience, preferable in a production environment.

 

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write short correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before team members.

 

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage, draw and interpret bar graphs and understand basic statistics.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a basic knowledge of computers, data entry and e-mail.

The Rinse & Dry Operator I is required to lift up to 50lbs under a 1/3rd of the time.

To satisfy the vision requirements for the position the employee must have the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
