Beckman Coulter is a Danaher company, operating in two industries: Diagnostics and Life Sciences. 


  • Professional expert with experience commercializing new products, who can translate development data into portfolio positioning, create marketing, sales and customer training, can effectively communicate and align commercialization plans with downstream partners and leadership, can translate customer needs into business needs, and support new product development throughout the process.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Builds and maintains technical/clinical utility expertise for products

  • Represents customer, sales, marketing and technical documentation on new product Core Teams; responsible for  Business Case, Voice of the Customer, User Needs, Forecasting

  • Leads Commercialization Plan development and execution

  • Gathers and assesses market and competitive intelligence, global trends, and displacing technologies

  • Creates and provides product training to global marketing teams and sales training

  • Contributes to the design, development and management of sales collateral and relevant clinical papers in collaboration with key stakeholders

  • Communicates product, commercialization and portfolio revenue/placement updates to internal and external stakeholders, inclusive of senior leadership

  • Contributes to product life cycle management, product road map, positioning and pricing plans

  • Develops product line forecasts in collaboration with Global Marketing and Supply Chain Planning and manage inventory interruptions

  • Collaborates with Scientific Affairs and Sales in Key Opinion Leader development and management

  • Supports VIP visits and key customers as required


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in field with 9+ years in laboratory diagnostics, life sciences, or related field, or

  • Master’s degree in field with 7+ years product management experience in laboratory diagnostics, life sciences, or related field, or

  • Doctoral degree in field with 4+ years product management experience in laboratory diagnostics, life sciences or related field

  • Experience leading successful commercialization teams and supporting sales during launch

  • Ability to work cross culturally/functionally and understand dynamics of different markets and functional department requirements adhering to policies and procedures

  • Self-motivated to complete tasks timely with competence; driven to self-educate and improve processes

  • Ability to multitask in strategic and tactical space

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills with ability to build trust

  • Strong technical and financial aptitude; experience in financial analysis/modeling skills preferred

  • Results oriented with focused urgency, prioritization skills and ability to recognize/escalate issues appropriately

  • Knowledge of competitive environments and laboratory workflow processes helpful
