Purpose of Position
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the development of the product strategy, roadmap and revenue and profitability objectives for the Ormco business across APAC. The Product Marketing Manager leads the voice of customer, segmentation, branding, and growth initiatives for the assigned portfolio. This position requires leadership and strong collaborative execution in the areas of product plans, new product development programs, marketing, customer research, commercialization, and implementation of the go-to market product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Product and Portfolio Strategy
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of strategic marketing plans/strategies for product line, consistent with strategic corporate plan and vision 
  • Gather Voice of Customer, Voice of Sales and Voice of Dealers to drive product roadmap decisions
  • Articulates requirements needed for feature development to R&D

New Product Development and Commercialization
  • Lead analysis on product features, priorities and value proposition of products based on competitive analysis, customer needs and market segmentation 
  • Identify, lead, and implement process or product improvements that contribute to customer experience improvement, top-line growth and margin expansion for the company

Product Line Management
  • Participate in departmental meeting to report and present product forecast, pricing, plans on product line sales growth, product launch strategies, budget, market share, promotional activities and critical project priorities
  • Lead and draw up the annual strategic plans, subsequently develop and roll out of sales and marketing strategy for Ormco products
  • Drive APAC Lead Funnel together with Country Leaders & dealer representatives 
  • Maintains an active presence in the field, working with both sales account managers and customers 
  • Identifies, develops and maintains relationships with key opinion leaders in the field 
  • Complete periodic sales and market reviews for assigned products. This may include competitive analysis, share trends and margin comparisons. 
  • Gather market data and intelligence to make product price and promotion recommendations
  • Responsible for developing and coordinating product information and training materials; provide support to the sales team for the application of products and solutions; and execute product training for the sales team and external customers.
  • Actively engage as a product owner to track financial performance of product, understand production, quality and sales issues and actively participate in improvements and solutions.
  • Communicate and cooperate with factory/R&D and the regional commercial team on Ormco products.
  • Collaborate and work closely with global/regional marketing on design, branding, new product launch and all forms of external communications.
  • Perform the above duties for any other new products as may be assigned.
  • Attend trade shows, sales meetings, customer meetings and other relevant functions as primary product contact.

Job Requirements


Requirements for the Position

Degree in Marketing / Business or related discipline. Additional qualification in MBA will be an advantage. 

  • Min 7-10 years of product marketing experience in healthcare or dental industry. Experience in orthodontics will be highly regarded.
  • Travel: High (40% to 60%).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Effective planning, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical & outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, self-organized, and able to work with minimum supervision 
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented and meticulous.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship development skills.
  • Ability & experience interfacing at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
