Molecular Devices, LLC is recruiting for a Product Manager role.  The position is located in Fremont, CA.
The Product Manager is responsible for Product Management activities of industry-leading clone screening hardware, software and culture media product line, including ClonePixTMv, CloneSelectTM Imager, QpixTM instruments that have transformed lead screening and cell line development workflows.  In this exciting role, the candidate will need to work across functional boundaries with engineering, sales, manufacturing and marketing counterparts. Key activities for the position include product strategy, product life cycle management, product launches, and supporting commercial organizations with key marketing collateral and activities. The position is located in Fremont, CA.
•Collaborate globally with commercial teams to collect customer inputs, competitive intelligence and market trends to build robust product roadmap for the product portfolio.
•Develop overall product line strategy and execute it by launching new products and managing existing products for growth.
•Research, understand and communicate the needs of customers to the marketing and project teams for development of new products
•Propose and participate in identifying promising products in the market and build strategic relationships with third-party partners for licensing-in or distributing the products
•Participate in cross-functional teams for product development and product commercialization activities.
•Collaborate with tactical marketing teams to ensure successful and efficient execution of marketing campaigns in alignment with product’s value proposition.
•Support product launches by creating marketing content, including training presentations, customer-facing presentations, brochures and posters.
•Train the commercial organization on new products and product updates.     

Job Requirements


•BS or BA in life science related discipline and laboratory experience required; advanced education is preferred.
•5+ years of experience in a cell culture laboratory in biopharmaceutical industry. 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in product management required
•A strong background in the Biopharmaceutical is a requirement.  Experience with Cell Line Development product is strongly desired.  Knowledge of cell line development, bioprocess applications and markets preferred.
•Experience in marketing and/or product management in the life scientific markets is required. Sales experience is a plus.
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required; experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple priorities and projects with dynamic timelines to execution.
•Focused and results oriented.
•Experience working in a highly technical organization interacting with scientific and technical personnel, including field sales personnel and engineers
•Very strong work ethic and comfortable with extensive travel.
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with sense of urgency.
•Courageous problem solver.
•Proven experience writing technical reports and/or journal articles.
•Proven experience presenting scientific talks at conferences and trade meetings.
•Proven experience managing complex tasks including project management.
•Proven experience working with confidential or sensitive information.
