Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategy, Innovation and Clinical Affairs, the Product Manager for Infection Prevention and Specialty Business Unit will have responsibility to own and drive our dental infection prevention product lines in Germany and other EU regions. We have been the leading dental infection prevention solution providers in the US for decades and now we need find a strong product owner to work with our established EU marketing team to take our market proved leading infection prevention products to Germany and other EU regions to penetrate market and benefit more dental professionals and patients. 



As a product manager, you will be the owner of the infection prevention product line. You take part of the development and implementation of the go-to-market plans with cross-functional teams in the US and EU (mainly commercial), with clearly defined revenue, market share and profitability targets. Your responsibility extends from increasing revenue and profit on existing products to a new product roadmap that grows your product segments' market share.



The Product Manager will work closely with our established EU commercial team (central marketing) and US based Business Unit to provide product knowledge, effectively identify penetration strategies and gain market shares through new products. The Product Manager will work cross-functionally and cross-geographically to determine market needs, effectively manage product sustaining/development in collaboration with key stakeholders (central marketing, R&D, RA, OPS) and support the launch of new products.


Key Responsibilities:

• Build relationships with EU marketing teams to rapidly grow revenue and market shares

• Be a responsive, knowledgeable resource to help commercial team close sales or quickly resolve customer problems is going to be a key for success

• Support the central marketing team to develop overall strategy to drive category sales and operating profit growth including market analysis, product positioning and key messaging.

• Take a lead on supporting sustaining projects for BU product portfolio in EU and work closely with regulatory, operation, procurement and R&D to resourcefully resolve sustaining issues to ensure minimum commercial disruption 

• Work collaboratively with RA and R&D to register new products or revise current product registration due to regulatory requirement and VOC

• Provide product management support for international market including market analysis, registration roadmaps, forecast and label creation by working with cross-functional teams  

• Lead product development from ideation, to concept through introduction to market supported by central marketing that elaborates all countries feedbacks and launch plans. 

• Support growth of category in key markets as defined by strategic plan. 

• Conducts marketing research and analysis to develop product definitions

• Serve as a subject matter expert for categories and product lines through in depth understanding of marketplace and competition with regular analysis around market trends as well as competitive moves

• Develops and maintains an expert knowledge of technology and market trends.

• Provides business case and technical justification for new product development concepts

• Support category teams ensuring timely communication of category information 

• Deliver and own product portfolio pricing/positioning strategies that will drive share. 

• Prepares Tollgate marketing documents for all phases of product development and introduction to market.

• Key member of strategic planning team responsible for category knowledge and positioning of products/brands as well as mekko development.


Job Requirements



Qualifications

The Product Manager must be able to work closely with the EU sales and marketing team to identify the best market strategies and understand market trends and has a strong commercialization ability to work closely with sales & marketing to drive revenue growth. Minimum requirements include:



  • 5+ years related experience in a product management (preferably marketing or sales in dental infection prevention).

  • Track record in NPD

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge in all aspects of commercialization (positioning, marketing, product education & support, marketing, distribution management, customer service and regulations, etc).

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional partners on a daily basis.

  • Solid oral, written and presentation skills to effectively communicate and influence a cross functional team.

  • Strong analytical skills used to drive-decision making and experience building a business case using market and sales data and financial forecast statistics.

  • Effective time management skills to ensure on-time delivery of multitasks.

  • Fluency in English



 EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required.

  • MBA and Master degrees in science or engineering preferred.
