The Product Manager, Microsurgery Imaging will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing of the Microsurgery customer needs for Surgical Microscope and respective market dynamics. S / he will define, plan, develop the appropriate global Microsurgery imaging platform portfolio roadmap and manage the relevant product life cycle including operating margin. The responsibility will also include the definition and quantification of business opportunities as well as the derivation of the strategic direction for the product development. Working with Product Manager, Microsurgery Digital workflow to manage the Microsurgery Advisory Board completes the job specification of the position. We expect an excellent leadership, forward looking and innovative mind for the development of the Microsurgery Imaging platform to outperform competition and grow constantly product margin via cost optimization and standardization. S/he has cross-functional responsibilities, which require cooperating with various departments within the company (Advanced Imaging Applications, Business Managements, sales, R&D, RA/QA, Legal and Compliance. Corporate Marketing, Operations) and external partners. 

Job Requirements


Professional Experience 

  • Minimum 1-2 years proven experience in Product Management, Sales or Marketing in life science, medical or imaging software industry. 
  • Demonstrated success in leading innovation project 


  • Bachelor Degree in engineering or business administration 
  • Preferred: MBA 


  • English and preferably German 

Travel (required estimated % of time) 

  • 40%

  • Ability to drive for and achieve result in complex matrix organization with all important stake holders (Advanced Imaging Applications, Business Management, Sales, Operations, Marketing, R&D & RA/QA). 
  • Live up to the Danaher Business System (DBS) and Danaher Leadership Anchors in particular to drive profitable growth.

  • Reports directly to the Director, Advanced Imaging Applications 
  • Strong relationship to Medical Business Management, R&D, Selling Units, RA/QA, Operations, Corporate Marketing and all Marketing Leaders in Leica
