PURPOSE OF POSITION



To support profitable sales growth for product line in the local market and enable the local commercial organisation to profitabily sell the product line. The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle to achieve the company’s; revenue growth & profitable sales, market share and customer satisfaction goals.


The Product Manager will be the reference person for tender documentation and responsd actively to participating in the tender response process.  They will provide technical specification and answers accordingly to regional needs.


Raise market needs and VOC to ensure this is captured and considered for future product development.

Internally, they will work closely with the field sales, customer support and externally they will work closely with our customers and key opinion leaders.

 

 



 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





  • Provide Product technical/scientific knowledge in selling process levereging customer suggestions. Support the sales process with product information, contribution to training programmes and field travel to continually increase the knowledge of our sales team.  Deliver high level product line sales presentations.


  • Promote and manage the assigned product line during the entire life cycle. Launch new products and develop local commercialisation plans as required. Proactively managing communication. Acting as "go to person" for product line – forecasting / product management / stock allocation / stock out issues.


  • Support profitable sales growth in the local market for the assigned product line


  • Product planning and execution


  • Pre-sales support: Provide technical/scientific support to sales force in:



    • Sales Education


    • DEMO


    • Tender support for CC and IA scientifc input


    • Technical Support for Legal Challenges


  • Understand the competitive landscape by collating and maintaining competitive information.


  • Develop relationships with Local key opinion leaders to enhance the profile of Beckman Coulter and our products.


  • Regulatory affairs coordination (inform the sales force on issues)


  • Liaison with medical authority

Job Requirements



Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION





  • 2+ years’ experience in a sales or marketing role in the IVD market


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline


  • A marketing qualification would be desirable


 



MOST IMPORTANT COMPETENCIES REQUIRED





  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services


  • Ability to work in a team in complex Matrix organization


  • Good working knowledge of a clinical laboratory


  • Good understanding of the regional Healthcare market and procurement processes


  • Strong communication skills


  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and organisational skills


  • Problem Solving


  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office products


  • Must be able to travel (approximately 50% of working hours will require travel).


  • Ability to make time critical decisions


  • Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations


  • A results driven individual who can demonstrate success
