Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions:


The Account Specialist/Manager, CE and Biopharma, ANZ is responsible for support and sales of CE products in the ANZ region and for support and sales of MS, and other Sciex products in Biopharma accounts in the ANZ region.  The role includes supporting CE and Biopharma applications, marketing and service activities as needed for the ANZ region. Primary responsibilities include: 1) Support business development activities to achieve annual revenue and bookings targets for the CE Product Line and for designated Biopharma accounts in the ANZ region.  2) Create, define, and develop new CE and Biopharma sales, market, and business opportunities in the ANZ region. 3) Manage CE and Biopharma channel partners and authorized service providers to achieve business customer satisfaction targets.  4)  Provide leadership to the ANZ applications, service, and training teams regarding CE and Biopharma technology, market, and business strategies.


• Identify CE and Biopharma business/market/sales opportunities that would improve business
• Develop new CE and Biopharma markets and work directly with sales, marketing and application teams to implement new sales and market plans
• Provide analysis of current CE and Biopharma product positioning and help improve overall offerings and maintain competitiveness in the markets
• Provide input to the FAS CE and Biopharma demo and provide CE and Biopharma applications and training support to customers, channel partners and internal field support teams
• Provide key support to customer’s CE and Biopharma collaborations and linkage with the local, regional and global CE teams
• Manage key CE and Biopharma customer accounts and drive collaborative projects
• Plan and deliver CE and Biopharma related content and presentations for ANZ seminars and conferences
• Manage CE and Biopharma schedule and priorities for ANZ and communicate to appropriate leaders
• Maintain the CE and Biopharma communication network in ANZ
• Other duties/ ad hoc tasks as assigned.


Additional Requirements:
• Location based in Melbourne preferred

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in chemistry, mass spec or life science related fields is required, higher degree is preferred
• Requires 3-5 years of applications, market development and/or sales support experience
• Requires applications laboratory experience of supporting CE or Analytical Separations and MS customer applications and delivering CE or Analytical Separations and MS product demonstrations and training
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, personable manner, and teach in one-on-one or small group situations
• Requires the ability to perform independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to travel to ANZ
