The role:

The Product Engineer performs the necessary actions within Product Engineering’s responsibility to support the assigned product portfolio through its lifecycle. 
He/She acts as the liaison person between R&D and operations. As such he/she ensures that newly developed products can be manufactured in an efficient way. 


  • You define the project charter for larger projects and act as a project manager (defining scope, milestones, team, action plans and follow up meetings, handling phase in-phase out); 
  • You cooperate with the engineering technician to get assistance on tests within his/her capabilitiesYou cooperate with the Documentation team leader to align needs for documentation/part setup;
  • You cooperate with the project designer to align validation work with capabilities in updating large numbers of drawings;
  • You maintain and create technical documentation such as Product Data Sheets, Training Instructions and Specifications pertaining to the area of expertise;
  • Write detailed validation protocols for FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ;
  • Focus on continuous improvement of products and processes.
  • You conduct investigations to resolve customer complaints and complete corrective and preventive actions;
  • You work closely with Marketing, Quality and Operations assessing future needs to define and adhere to market / customer requirements.

Job Requirements


Education, Skills and Competencies:
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in engineering;
  • Master’s engineering degree. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering  or Material Science;
  • You are fluent in English; 
  • Knowledge of process validation procedures and techniques, e.g. Process and product FMEA and process capability studies;
  • Competent with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab; 
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage;
  • Able to write Factory Acceptance Tests and validation (IQ, OQ and PQ) documents for new products, processes and equipment;
  • You demonstrate analytical ability within a manufacturing environment;
  • You have technical understanding of production, equipment and processes;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required;
  • Strong presentation skills, both in person and remotely required;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Excellent organization of time and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
