Description

The mission of the Procurement Support Specialist is to support DHR OpCos in Europe to act legally and lawfully in compliance with export and import regulations as well as with the relevant policies of the Corporation. Interfacing with the Company’s suppliers to collect the data needed for a correct valuation of the Company’s products portfolio, he/she helps in protecting company from the risk of breaching the law and supports potential duty savings.

The position is temporary (approx. 6 months), part-time (5 days, 4 hrs) and located in Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

Contacts third parties vendors in order to obtain essential data for products classification of DHR goods as well as documentation for compliance;

Manages vendors‘ request of clarifications providing explanations on custom laws and regulations;

Maintains and keeps updated the Item Master with the information collected from suppliers;

Keeps accurate records of the documents received from vendors;

Assists with transferring the data collected from suppliers in the format requested by business to allow Trade Compliance function to determine the origins of Company’s goods;

Assists in monitoring and tracking vendors replies.

Works collaboratively with the Trade Compliance functions and other Supply Chain professionals to reach the goals.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience in procurement or supply chain
  • Fluent in English. German/Italian is a plus.
  • General knowledge of business principles and practices and relationship principles and practices;
  • Ability to perform cradle-to-grave data collection work;
  • Experience in working with Excel.
  • Ability to provide support to third party vendors on trade compliance topics;
  • Ability to write and speak clearly and concisely using proper language and grammar;
  • Ability to effectively manage workload within tight time settings;
  • Ability to promptly respond with courtesy to requests from vendors and coworkers and work proactively to resolve issues;
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment in applying laws, regulations, policies and procedures;
