Be the engineering in: Engineered products, continuous improvement, product transfer and capital equipment projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams in the development of new filtration products and new cleaning processes. Take ownership of above once transferred from R&D.
• Support as needed by manufacturing engineering as the technical authority on NCRs, PORs and process issues. 
• Design, Analyze and Engineer new products with the use of standard tools, engineering software and Design calculations.
• Perform calculations that predict the product performance including fluid flow, stack-up tolerances, structural integrity etc.
• Documentation of new products, processes and equipment for new products.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and best known methods for product designs are desirable.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE and Design for Manufacturing Assembly considered a plus.
• Work experience in the Semiconductor field or applications is a plus.
• Ability to articulate and document technical details to global team members management, customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
• Be an active team member and collaborates with cross-functional teams at Tsukuba plant and other global locations.

Job Requirements


The successful candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science or Chemistry. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in areas related to filtration, semiconductor processing or chemical industry. 
  • Knowledge of Fluid dynamics, Filter Design, Plastic Molding, Chemical and Hydromechanics, advanced membrane technology, pressure vessel design, injection molding is highly desirable. 
  • Good Oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English are preferred. 
  • Project management experience using Stage Gate or other similar systems is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Power Point required.
  • Familiarity with commercially available ERP systems like SAP is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with global cross-functional groups in different time zones and in a team setting are critical.
