Description

Summary:

  • Analyse customer process user requirements and tender specification for engineered process equipment (including different technologies such as direct flow filtration, cross flow filtration, etc.) for mechanical part of the project
  • As technical lead discuss, propose and define final engineered technical system solution with the customer including assistance in writing technical part of quotation and associated costing. After Order placement execute the proposed engineered system solution based on agreed and defined contractual specification together with a defined project team for the mechanical part
  • Make sure the system is delivered in accordance to specification, on time and within budget.
  • Main Duties:
  • 30 % Responsible for the detailed technical process clarification (technology selection, sizing, design testing etc.) on requested equipment, including to take on the responsibility and ownership for the proposed equipment solution during project 
  • 50 %Technical elaboration of detail design (including creation of bill of material, define and creation of component, valve, apparatuses and fitting lists etc.).
  • 10 % Respect current good engineering practice and industrial standards applicable for the project and work in accordance to our established quality management system.
  • 10 % Responsible for providing technical input in critical questions to the other team members while acting as a coach/trainer 

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc or equivalent in Mechanical engineering, Process engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience of engineering of equipment used in Food and beverage industry 
  • Skills in designing of pipework and fluid handling systems, preferably in hygienic design as used in Food and Beverage or Biopharma systems 
  • Skills in 3D designing on AutoCAD Inventor, AutoCAD and AutoCAD PID in connection with a document management system.             
  • Use of MS Office tools, SAP MM&PS, CAD Viewers 
  • Experience in the design and engineering of fluid handling equipment equipment for filtration, separation and purification equipment 
  • Experience of working on projects in various cultures.
  • Experience of working with outside subcontractors including mechanical fabricators, electronic fabricators, Software designers and automation experts.
  • Experience in qualification activities (FAT/SAT) for process equipment in the food and beverage  industry.
  • Language skills German and English
