SUMMARY:  The Plant Manager will provide leadership for the Operations team for the AOA lab in Sturtevant, Wisconsin.  The Plant Manager will effectively manage resources and ensure product quality, on-time delivery and low costs utilizing Lean Manufacturing and DBS processes.  


  • Effectively manage and drive results through daily operations of the lab.

  • Develop budget, manage costs and ensure expenses align with sales forecast.

  • Develop and manage PSI to daily operational targets for customer satisfaction.

  • Remain compliant within regulatory and quality targets for the lab for year over year results.

  • Annually build action plans for Manufacturing Expenses and Productivity, Inventory turns, EH&S, On Time Delivery.

  • Manage action plans daily, weekly, monthly for implementation, sustainment, and counter measures where applicable.

  • Sustain daily cadence to manufacturing efficiencies for annual productivity gains.

  • Champion kaizen activities for the site.

  • Utilize Lean Concepts such as: Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, SMED, DMP, VRK and other tools to create and maintain a mindset of continuous improvement.

  • Co-Develop EHS action plans to reduce work injuries and reduce associates on medical leave

  • Sustain and improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) of products

  • Review product quality to assure established standards are being met and initiate corrective action when necessary to maintain a high quality level.

  • Work within the company’s corporate quality system and ISO / FDA regulations to remain compliant.

  • Manage the plan for preventative maintenance of production equipment.

  • Act as liaison among different functions (HR, Finance, Customer Care, Quality, Materials, Marketing, IT).

  • Support the implementation of new products / processes.



  • Directly supervises all departments within Operations and dotted line as a site leader.  Direct reports include Manufacturing Engineer, Supply Chain Manager and Department Supervisors.

  • Develop and maintain a strong effective and diverse organization through the recruiting, selection, training/development, and motivation of all associates. Build talent funnel within the region.

  • Supervise and motivate direct reports. 

  • Review and develop direct reports and evaluate the performance of subordinates.

  • Develop and mentor associates through DBS training, MBB certification, and PSP process.

Job Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering

  • 5 years minimum experience managing operational teams
