Description

Job Responsibilities


• Assist with bi-weekly payroll for 1000+ employees, ensuring the process is executed accurately, timely and compliant with tax, wage and hour laws.


• Process and audit data entry which includes HRIS interface of employee & benefit changes, stock exercises, commission and bonus payments.


• Audit of pay records from the timekeeping system and follow up with employees and managers on missed time punches.


• Work with ADP to resolve payroll, tax or system related issues promptly.


• Assist with state and local payroll tax registrations as necessary


• Entry and audit of tax levies, child support and garnishments.


• Process manual checks for out-of-cycle payments.


• Maintain employee payroll files and provide timely response to payroll inquiries through email and telephone calls.


• Demonstrate and maintain a positive customer service focus to both internal and external payroll customers. This position will work cross functionally with HR and stock administration teams.


• Assist with special projects related to the payroll function.


• Researching and preparing special reports for management.


• Assistance with various insurance, corporate or government audits as necessary


• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.


• Troubleshoot time clock issues, work with ADP to resolve.


• 401k administration; contribution files and funding.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


• Associate’s degree or similar or equivalent work experience.


• Minimum of 5+ years practical work experience.


• Working knowledge of payroll best practices, payroll system integrations.


• Understanding of federal and state tax regulations.


• Ability to handle confidential information discretely.


• Ability to understand issues, demonstrate resourcefulness and pro-actively resolve problems and manage multiple projects in a timely manner.


• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills to research and resolve inquiries and respond in a timely manner.


• Solid organizational skills: task prioritization and effective time management.


• Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written & verbal.


• Mid- to advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform pivots, V-lookups and other functions with Excel).


• Experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP Enterprise eTime and Workday HRIS or similar payroll platform


Preferred Qualifications


• CPP designation preferred , APA affiliation a plus
