Description

Under the direction of the Director, Business Systems, design, develop, and manage IT solutions using Oracle e-Business Suite, including Oracle Order Management System (OM) modules, to meet business needs as well as work closely with IT management and subject matter experts to develop solutions that facilitate process improvements.  Support the distribution center of the Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) and other custom applications, addressing user issues.  Test updates and develop enhancements to EBS and other applications.  Use SQL to query Oracle and MS SQL Server databases to drive process improvements as well as support and transitioning peripheral applications.  Responsible for developing Electronic Data Exchange (EDI) interface or Oracle EDI gateway which allows integration between Oracle applications as well as for the Oracle eCommerce Web Interface which manages communications between the storefront and the Oracle OM Applications.  Implement additional Oracle modules or functionality as required.  Support the technical needs of customers in creating and maintaining PL/SQL functions and procedures as well as perform Oracle SQL queries and views.  Open and work Oracle service requests, manage IT-related projects, develop detailed and comprehensive test plans, and perform design and code reviews with other developers.  Work independently on assigned products and tasks, adhering to IT policies and procedures.  Own the development (site additions, enhancements, bug fixes), user support, and long-term vision of OM module, EDI interface, and eCommerce Web Interface from an IT perspective.  Specific duties include:
  • Design, develop, and implement OM solutions based on user needs by modifying Oracle software, EDI solutions based on user needs by modifying Oracle and Sterling Integrator software, and eCommerce Interface solutions by modifying Oracle software.
  • Manage OM, EDI, and eCommerce related projects.
  • Develop detailed and comprehensive software system test plans.
  • Mentor and train other IT associates and business users in the OM system.
  • Guide the long-term direction of IT support regarding OM, EDI processes, and interface capabilities for eCommerce.
  • Create and modify operation plans and strategies;
  • Create and modify pick rules;
  • Define put-away rules;
  • Produce functional design documentation of the OM system;
  • Create and modify operation plans and strategies;
  • Create technical requirement documents for customizations and custom interfaces;
  • Produce functional design documentation of the EDI and eCommerce interfaces;
  • Troubleshoot user problems; and
  • Address issues with receiving and reservation processing.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field.  Equivalent degree can be based on education and/or experience and/or knowledge, as determined by competent credentials evaluator or other appropriate authority.  All experience may be concurrent.  Experience may have been gained before, after, or as part of degree.  Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience effectively developing and supporting Oracle applications.
  • Proven experience supporting a manufacturing or distribution organization.
  • Mastery of Oracle OM modules (customer, pricing, item), EDI interfaces, and eCommerce, including design, implementation, and support.
  • Strong project management skills.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
