Description

The ideal candidate will possess well rounded operations and supply chain skills and will support the following:
All the aspects of scheduling, forecasting, planning, inventory level management, and customer service levels related to the Supply Chain and to directly support Work Order OTD and customer OTD.  Project based improvement work under the guidance of operations management.


As Operations and Supply Chain Intern, you will be asked to complete a variety of tasks and will likely work on several projects simultaneously. Assignments and duties are driven by organizational and business needs and may include (but not limited to) the following tasks:
• Material inventory tracking
• Facilitate new product launches
• Cross-functional support readiness and ramp
• Manage resources and tasks to achieve program objectives
• Identify areas for process improvement

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  
• Business, Operations, or Supply Chain degree in progress

• Under general supervision; plans, conducts, leads, and reports on assignments.
• Follows directions well and is a self-starter in identifying what is critical to the success of the project. 
• Entry level experience with data analytics, excel, oracle 
• Have strong academic performance (GPA of at least 3.2) and career interest in supply chain management
• Willing to learn and motivation to succeed
• Demonstrated analytical skills and planning skills
• Can innovate and look beyond standard practices
• Value teamwork with strong interpersonal skills
• Possess strong attention to detail
• Excellent organization and ability to work well independently or in team environment
• Able to cross-functionally network, influence and utilize internal and external resources
• Exposure to concepts including Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma quality. 
                                               
LANUGUAGE SKILLS:        
• Excellent communications skills, both written and oral are required.
Ability to speak, and read a foreign language is a plus, English/Spanish Bilingual preferred                                                
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating procedures.  Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization is required.
 

COMPUTER SKILLS:  
 To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge and practical use of Microsoft office applications.
• Competent with use of personal computers and related software is desirable, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Project is required.
• Must possess excellent Communication (Technical, Oral, Written).
• Excellent mechanical/mechanism design fixture for high volume.
• Must possess excellent technical judgment and able to set logical action plan and technical problem resolution.
                                 

Math Ability:
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to calculate rates, ration and percent to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to discern trends, and analyze operational and financial reports.

Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
