Description

We are currently seeking a New Product Development Procurement Leader to join our team.


Position Purpose:
This position is to use professional and skilled procurement and supply chain practices to strategically source various categories in support of New Products launches at Videojet. The intent is to identify right suppliers and to ensure long term supply for Videojet at world class levels of quality, delivery and total costs in support of such New Product Development (NPD) initiatives.


Primary Responsibilities: 
• Develop, hone, and execute on NPD Procurement strategies across global Videojet sites.
• Ensure successful implementation of Global NPD initiatives and ensuring Technical, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets are met.
• Lead supplier on boarding and production readiness process and successful transition to Buyer/Planners for tactical procurement.
• Lead and Manage including delegation of tasks, mentorship, and supervising the Global NPD Procurement team.
• Enhance and Develop standard work and other process muscle build initiatives to ensure sustainable performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment to meet NPD Procurement performance targets.
• Constantly benchmark NPD procurement processes versus other Danaher Operating Companies and External companies to ensure the world class performance levels.
• Interface with recent acquisitions to develop, lead, and implement Global NPD Procurement best practices. Lead and assist with acquisition integration processes for NPD Procurement and contribute to DHR Corporate requirements. 
• Management of NPD Procurement visual board and daily management process 
• Collaborate with Category management team to ensure sustainable year over year cost reduction targets are achieved and target preferred / qualified suppliers are awarded the business

• Integrity --- must follow the Danaher standards of business and personal ethics policies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in countries where we, and our partners, operate


Job Requirements



Qualifications

Requirements:
• Education Required:  Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering preferred along with an MBA 
• Work Experience:   7+ years of professional procurement experience 
• Demonstrated skills/experience in Project Management and New Product Development Procurement
• Strong skills in negotiations, communications, leadership, and ability to influence
• Ability to manage and communicate with the Global Supply Base in various time zones
• Demonstrated ability to operate and work in a cross functional environment 
• Experience leading sourcing workshops and/or kaizens
• Experience in structuring contracts and managing business relationships with suppliers
• Ability to establish relevant sourcing strategies and clearly articulate expectations with supply base and internally
• Lean Manufacturing certifications or Certified Green Belt is preferred
• Level of Travel Required: 20% (includes international)
