GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The NA and Ashland Site Quality Manager  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of the Ashland Quality Assurance laboratory, including scheduling, training, and performance management of lab technicians; management of the lab cost center budget; and maintenance and improvement of laboratory equipment for Ashland

  • Contribute to measurable improvement at Ashland site on quality performance through good execution of quality systems and applicable certifications including the development, maintenance and update of documentation of process and records (IE: inspection systems, policies, procedures, testing measurement, corrective actions and internal audits)

  • Site execution for the Ashland ISO systems and Management representative for Ashland facility related to quality

  • Support and participate in plant wide safety audits/activities for Ashland.

  • Lead and/or coordinate investigation of customer complaints, not-right-first-time and nonconformance issues to identify root causes and design and implement measures to prevent recurrence for NA

  • Responsible for accomplishing NA quality objectives (PPM) and the effectiveness of corrective actions

  • Provides direction and oversight for implementing the quality system and resources for NA sites to meet ISO 9001-2015 requirements 

  • Develop and own New product introduction process (NPI) for coordinating scale up/changes to current products for NA 

  • Establishes a standardization of Document control process for the NA sites (including Standard work)

  • Develop knowledge of customer applications through cross function relationships and Translate information into meaningful pipeline for continuous improvement in quality systems and processes

  • Lead investigations of, and responses to, customer quality inquiries for significant events   

  • Develop and Manage Change request process to formulations with appropriate escalations to provide cross function change mgmt. 

  • Ensure sites(and third party suppliers) have annual Quality improvement plans to drive continuous improvement and Zero PPM mindset  

  • Enable quality organization is be effective in meeting long term growth strategy for the business

  • Implement Danaher Quality management programs across NA (SQM).

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or engineering or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a leadership role
  • Prior experience as a Global Quality manager
  • Experience with integrating chemical manufacturing sites into new ISO processes
  • Worked in a manufacturing process
  • Project management experience
