The Metabolite Dispensing Technician will perform critical membrane dispensing of enzymes to the metabolite sensors.  They will work closely with their Lead in order to meet scheduled demand and abide by productivity metrics set within the area.  Incumbents will follow written procedures and verbal instructions in order to meet product specifications.
  • Setup equipment using membrane solutions for the metabolite sensor, and calibrate machinery per established procedures.
  • Perform mathematical calculations and data generations, which require the use of a computer and/or calculator.
  • Troubleshoot equipment if issues arise and work with Lead and/or Mfg. Engineering to correct problems if they cannot be resolved quickly.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in regards to routers, labels, logbook and inventory.
  • Maintain manufacturing work area in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Order and maintain supplies to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Perform regular cycle counts of inventory.
  • Verification of equipment, maintenance and calibration of all equipment prior to use. 
  • Will assist with other dispensing operations (i.e. cPVC, PU, Subs/Caps, Chloride, CA, Acid Etch, etc.) when required.
  • Work closely with R&D and Mfg. Engineering to perform Manufacturing Variances when required.
  • May be required to perform data input procedures and daily/monthly production summary reports.  
  • May be required to review current manufacturing procedures/work instructions and update or suggest improvements as necessary per the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process.
  • Acquires training (internally or externally) designed to enhance job knowledge and growth and provide a basis for job level progression.
  • Perform all activities in accordance with General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and established safety procedures.
  • Utilize Danaher Business System (DBS) concepts and tools in the performance of daily activities (i.e. 5S, QSB, layered audits, etc.).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Medical Device membrane dispensing experience
  • Fine manual dexterity to manipulate small parts and tools
  • Basic computer skills for accessing programs and entering data
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work with others collaboratively
  • Must not have any chemical allergies: Work areas may contain adhesives, solvents, and chemical processes 
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arm’s length
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision
  • Must be willing and able to conform to cleanroom practices with regard to apparel and personal hygiene
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office 
  • Experience in Medical Devices Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to apply General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within the manufacturing environment
  • Effective in using a microscope
  • Troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Perform calculations utilizing a standard calculator
