Description


Primary responsibility for this position will be for supporting the buyer/planners and production operations so that others may maximize their time in value-adding work. Delivering, staging, and removing parts and supplies for production cells to enable a smooth production flow. Communicate the withdrawal and production Kanban systems.

Major Responsibilities 
  • Primary for the pulling and physical replenishment of direct materials
  • Collaborates with Purchasing personnel to ensure seamless Kanban fulfillment process. 
  • Co-owner of Kanban pull system – works closely with the Procurement coordinator to ensure appropriate bin sizes and order triggers are optimal. 
  • Coordinates the movement of materials to production to meet production the production plan. 
  • Uses efficient work processes and follows standard work in the performance of daily routines. 
  • Responsible for inventory cycle counts and the investigation of variances. Assists the warehouse operation as needed.

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher
  • Previous experience in related field 
  • Experience with using ERP system to account for material movement
Preferred:
  • Kanban experience 
  • SAP experience 
  • Strong math aptitude
  • MS Office  (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) 
Language 
  • English
Travel  
  • No travel is required for this position.

Work environment:  While performing the duties of this job, most work is in an office environment setting.  Lighting and temperature are adequate.  The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
