We are currently seeking a Master Data Specialist to support our growing business.

Position Objective: 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Master Data Specialist to join our team in Harbourgate, Portsmouth. This is a great opportunity for someone experienced in the management of master data to join a Global company.

As a Master Data Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the Manufacturing and Sales plants with the creation, extension and changes to Material Master Data to ensure accurate and speedy provision of approved products for sales and operations to support the business units strategic direction as part of the centralised Master Data Management team.

Role and Duties:

Support the EMEA Manufacturing and Sales entities with regards to:

Anand Process Factory = 70% of time

  • Completion of Material data creation for new products within agreed SLAs.
  • Completion of Material data extension of existing products within agreed SLAs.
  • Completion of Material Master Record changes for fields with a global impact within agreed SLAs.
  • Daily Administration of the Anand Process Factory workflow tool.
  • Daily monitoring of the Anand Process Factory workflow tool to ensure requests are closed off as quickly as possible.
  • Daily support of plants with Material Master data queries or problems.

Data Quality & Completeness = 30% of time

  • Weekly review of plant Material Master Record data to ensure data complies with Global Best Practice.
  • Data Analysis for mass maintenance, working with the plants to identify error fixes.
  • Loading of Mass maintenance requests, utilizing the most appropriate tool.
  • Global communication of any data quality and completeness changes.
  • Participate in any Kaizens or events to further improve the Material Master Data processes.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the level of the role to ensure smooth running of Master Data Team.
  • Some domestic or global travel may be required.

Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications/ Experience: 

  • Knowledge of Material Master Data

  • Experience using an ERP to manager Master Data (preferably SAP)

  • Experience of using mass data load tools

  • Experience in using workflow tools

  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Some experience in project management is preferable

  • Attention to detail

  • Good communication skills (written and oral)

  • Analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Accuracy in data entry and checking
