Description

POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager to drive business and market growth in a targeted strategic business segment with global responsibilities and lead the commercialization of new product launches globally. The Marketing Manager will need to chart the course for a systemic approach to spark customer exploration of Hach’s solutions, support customers through their buying journey, and give voice to the benefits of Hach solutions to solve customer problems. The Marketing Manager will define the long-term marketing strategy for High Volume Products and drive campaign execution aligned with the marketing department’s growth model objectives, which are to:
  • Spark customer exploration of new or improved water quality analysis solutions
  • Support customers through every stage of their buying journey
  • Give voice to Hach’s products and services through omnichannel delivery of consistent messaging
  • Utilize optimized marketing approaches (e.g. digital, marketing automation, data analytics) to drive accelerated growth

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop an annual business plan and strategy using input from Business Units and Sales Teams to identify and develop specific marketing tactics and commercial action plans to deliver annual growth objectives. 
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives to deliver revenue commitments and growth targets for one of Hach’s most strategically important business segments
  • Global lead for driving digital growth and online revenue through both lead generation and e-commerce channels
  • Engage in continual results tracking all the way through the marketing and sales funnel – from early engagement indicators (e.g. clicks) and top-of-the-sales-funnel indicators (e.g. lead creation, conversion rate) to sale. 
  • Prepare and maintain omnichannel touchpoints all along the customer’s journey, from sparking initial interest and providing high-quality solution education content all the way through post-purchase support.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art marketing optimization approaches such as search engine marketing and marketing automation (e.g. trigger-based emails, web personalization, predictive analytics)

Job Requirements



Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in business, marketing; MS, MBA, or MA, in marketing, business management preferred
  • 4-7 years of experience in marketing, PR, and or advertising in a B2B environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through both leads generation and e-commerce channels
  • Some knowledge of chemistry and other applications related to the water analysis industry helpful but not required
  • Demonstrated experience in the commercial launch of new products, market segmentation techniques, market research and analysis tools and the development of and use of demand creation and promotional tools and strategies
  • Experience developing, communicating and implementing strategic business plans
Proven experience planning and executing fully integrated global campaigns, including:
  • Establishing objectives, defining strategies and execution tactics
  • Experience with growth hacking tools
  • Utilizing digital channels and strategies, including proven experience utilizing Google Adwords and Analytics (i.e. PPC and SEO), as well as marketing automation tools (e.g. Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, HubSpot, etc). Experience working in SalesForce.com and in a content management system (e.g. Kapost) preferred.
  • Integrating marketing activity with sales and tracking early engagement activity all the way through the sales funnel to revenue
  • Managing leads process, including leads qualification and conversion rate monitoring
  • Must be able to think critically about messaging and direct a creative team in the execution of that messaging. Must be able to proof and edit copy, as well as effectively review designs and layouts.
  • International experience and intercultural agility a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
