Responsible for supporting the development and execution of Health System Marketing engagement with cross functional colleagues and external vendors. Ensure short term objectives are achieved to maximize market access and sales performance, aligned with Leica Microsystems business and related strategic corporate plans. Coordinate tactical plan development and execution in association with Leica Microsystems commercial Health Systems strategic direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)

Map out the medical microsurgical market and hospital (capital equipment) buying process (ie influencers, VAT) and plan and execute VOC to understand what the increasing Health Care System opportunities and win rate are.

Manage Leica Microsystems Medical Portfolio area tactical business plans by: developing critical initiative timelines, directing marketing programs, and controlling the prioritization of project and process workload.

Organize and implement proactive plans to pull-through market access materials and messaging to support Leica Microsystems Medical Portfolio strategic goals established for GPO/IDN/Administrative customers.

Lead/administer the development and review of marketing/sales resources through all appropriate internal processes 

Work cross functionally to assist in the generation of data and presentations aimed at improving access, including conference presentations & GPO/IDN/Administrative customers marketing materials

Supervise the development of convention, sales presentations and GPO/IDN/Administrative Marketing plans.

Develop project metrics to gain insight for future action.

Collaborate with cross functional departments (including sales, marketing, CL&D and operations) to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and recommend new stakeholders for development.

Manage outside agencies and consultants -- projects and budgets.

Manages the development of appropriate training materials and programs to support the delivery of LEICA-related materials to field colleagues engaging market access stakeholders (i.e. LEICA Account Management, Key Account Management, Trade Accounts Team, and Sales Teams as appropriate).

Job Requirements


Professional Experience
•Minimum 5 years of related, relevant market experience (i.e., sales, sales training, market research, marketing operations, managed care, etc.)
•Demonstrated ability to be a high level contributor or leader of multiple projects, processes or functions.
•Should have demonstrated knowledge of US medical device or pharma and how such products are marketed and sold into US healthcare systems, GPOs and IDNs.
•Ability to present products and data to higher level management and executive customers
•Knowledge of National Accounts and GPO influence matrix
•Minimum of 2 years of brand marketing experience preferred
•Demonstrated understanding of managed markets and the US healthcare system a plus.

•Bachelor's degree perferred
•Advanced Degree/Education in a related discipline preferred

•Willingness to travel (20% to 40%)
