Description

Responsible for driving highly effective digital channel content development and execution in campaigns across the assigned business unit (s), working collaboratively with the BU Marketing/Demand Generation Lead who has overall responsibility for campaign strategy and compliant content.

The assigned Business Unit is Biotech, so experience in the Life Science market is preferable.

Role includes:
• Assigned to work with and act as a direct member of their respective BU demand generation team.
• Adding and integrating the content, with our other team members, to the web, emails and other digital channels.
• A key person, with appropriate subject matter expertise supported by other team specialists, to help drive the right content marketing changes to the website and achieve a major impact on SEO performance, page rankings and inbound lead generation for their respective BU’s.

From a functional expertise perspective, the new role:
• Delivers options on digital content, restyled and made most effective for attaining high digital campaign performance.
• Provides insights and recommendations to the BU for incorporation of effective multi-touch aspects of digital elements into prioritized campaigns and campaign elements.
• Provides advice and prioritized options for building demand generation from the digital footprint activities/elements of campaigns and other local initiatives to their assigned BU. This is achieved by keeping at the forefront and advising on the use of digital marketing best practices. In addition, the role will share successes from what other initiatives BUs are doing with a view to encouraging implementation.
• Provides ideas and recommendations to the ‘BU Lead’ related to use of digital content to build global thought leadership positioning. The role will look to ensure the creation, curating and promotion of key evergreen and market leadership pieces of content by guiding, encouraging and building the content and expertise within the respective BU.

This role will provide an additional BU resource to:
• Add resource bandwidth, operating with ‘BU Lead’ guidance and BU approvals processes to support, facilitate and ensure delivery of thought leadership and digital campaign content. The role holder is expected to ‘roll up their sleeves’ to help ‘BU Lead’ ensure delivery of product that can be used in digital campaigns from time to time.
• Collaborate, challenge, promote and project manage digital elements of campaigns in support of the central digital team and BU, building credibility as being an essential member of BU campaign/demand generation team.
• Provide an initial first line response point of contact to digital marketing questions and queries from their respective BUs.

Role and Duties:

• Collaborates with BU marketing/demand generation leads to drive central digital marketing team initiatives and advise on best practice, drive and deliver successful multi-touch digital marketing element execution in demand generation and awareness campaigns (including some global travel). 40%
• Ensures the development and delivery of digital content for tactical use and thought leadership positioning using a mix of guidance, training, persuasion and execution that results in effective subject lines, high value propositions, high quality copy, high page rankings/online exposure and good web/landing page user experiences. 20%
• Collaborates with ‘BU Leads’ to recommend, repurpose and develop digital content to fill strategic and tactical gaps, with testing and ‘daily management’ feedback employed to ensure successful integration of digital marketing tactics and ongoing improvements to achieve business objectives. 20%
• Responsible for ensuring digital campaigns reflect internationally across cultures and languages. 10%
• Evaluates and drives qualitative and quantitative KPIs through continuous improvement and optimization. 10%

Job Requirements



Qualifications

• Extensive experience in B2B marketing, large scale campaigns, marketing technology, and marketing optimization experience.
• Knowledge of driving digital marketing strategy for B2B lead generation.
• Proven experience in digital campaign performance in a B2B environment.
• Experience in Life Sciences particularly Biotechnology would be preferable.
• Proficiency in project management of multiple, concurrent projects for different managers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, collaboration tools and digital analytic packages.
• Proficiency of design tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with Marketo (or other market automation system) and exposure to website design tools.
• Marketing, journalistic or digital marketing qualification preferred.
